What would you like to learn more about?
Is there a minimum/maximum for rental orders?

There is a required 5-day minimum for all rental orders. The rental period begins the day after shipping. You may rent the equipment for as long as you like.

Can I extend the time I need for my rental?

Yes. Just contact us and we’ll extend the dates—which will be reflected on your final invoice. 

Can I add items to my order after submitting a rental request?

Yes. Just contact us and we’ll add them for you.

How long is my order available before payment?

We will reserve your equipment for 14 days before your initial payment is received. 

What is the shortest turnaround time for orders?

We suggest that you order your equipment at least a week before you will need it. Turnaround times shorter than 2 days may result in rush fees. Turnaround times 1 day or shorter will not be accepted.

Do I need to pay up front?

No. We will reserve your equipment for 14 days before your initial payment is received. After the equipment is returned, we will send a final invoice with the remainder of your payment.

What are acceptable forms of payment?

We accept all major credit cards.

Do I need insurance?

Yes. You will need to provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI) in order to rent equipment. Visit our Resources page for a sample COI.

Are there additional fees?

There are fees for any equipment that returns damaged or past the rental dates.

Do I have to pay for shipping if I am local?

No. If you are local to the Austin area, you may pick up your equipment at our headquarters. Also, if there is an alternative shipping method you prefer, just let us know.

Can I track my shipment?

Yes. When your equipment ships, we will send you a tracking code.

Can you do expedited shipping?

Yes. Please note that this may incur additional fees depending on the turnaround time. 

How can I tell what length of cable I need for my Wenner a-spacing (the space between 2 electrodes)?

Long –  Wenner max a=500 meter or 1640 feet, 2x750 meter for current, 2x250 meter for potentials.

Medium – Wenner max a=250 meter or 820 feet, 2x400 meter for current, 2x125 meter for potentials. 

Short – Wenner max a=100 meter or 328 feet, 2x150 meter for current, 2x50 meter for potentials.

Can I rent software?

Yes, you can rent any version of EarthImager™ Data Inversion software. If you rent a SuperSting® System, a tablet is included with the SuperSting Manager App & a copy of SuperSting Admin Software.
